EMERALD EYE

Centering a bar around a story instead of an aesthetic

In 2023, Emerald Eye opened it's doors in Larimer Square as a dark tropical haven in the heart of Denver. It's 1950's Caribbean aesthetic and elevated tropical cocktails captivated guests, but lacked intention and meaning. The bar became an excellent place for a special night out, but was struggling to gain more of a consistent spot in Denverites nightlife lineup. We came to Emerald Eye to help them find their story, redefine their positioning, and find intention in the aesthetic & craft that was drawing tourists and locals in.

Challenge

Redefine Emerald Eye's positioning and story to create a stronger connection with customers, but without having to lose the core of the interior and brand design already set in place.

Solution

Speak to and survey the Denver community to gain an accurate understanding for how customers currently see Emerald Eye. Use the history of the neighborhood and the personalities of the target audience as a guide in recreating the brand's story. Build upon the current interior design, and optimize the brand design for a cohesive and meaningful experience.
